Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026. This policy explains what Bulk Aura collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to bulkaura.org and the merchant dashboard.
Who we are
Bulk Aura is an online marketplace where Indian merchants list products and buyers send enquiries straight to them. When we say “we”, we mean the Bulk Aura platform operated from bulkaura.org. When you list products or send an enquiry, we act as the organisation responsible for that information.
Bulk Aura does not sell products and does not take payment. A buyer’s enquiry is a message to a merchant, and the merchant contacts the buyer directly to close the deal.
What we collect
What we hold depends on how you use the site.
If you sign in as a merchant, we collect:
- your email address, and if you sign in with Google, the name, email and profile photo Google shares with us;
- an encrypted password if you register with email instead of Google;
- the company details you enter on your profile — company name, description, business type, GST number, year established, city, state, address, phone, email and website;
- the products you list — name, description, price range, minimum order quantity, unit and category;
- the photos you upload for those products;
- your approval status (pending, approved or rejected) and which products or enquiries are visible.
If you send an enquiry as a buyer, we collect:
- the name and phone number you give us (phone is required so the merchant can reach you);
- your email, city and required quantity, if you choose to add them;
- the message you write and the product and supplier it is about;
- the date your enquiry was sent and its progress status.
Automatically, we collect:
- basic server records needed to keep the site running and secure, such as the pages requested and the device or network making the request;
- an account session in your browser so you stay signed in between visits.
Buyers do not need an account to send an enquiry, so we deliberately keep what a buyer gives us to the minimum needed for a merchant to reply.
What we never collect
- no card, bank, UPI or wallet details — Bulk Aura does not process payments;
- no buying history, credit information or location tracking beyond the city you type in;
- no selling of your contact details to advertisers, and no advertising trackers on this site.
How we use your information
- to show buyers which suppliers and products exist, once a merchant is approved;
- to deliver an enquiry to the right merchant so they can answer you;
- to let a merchant manage their profile, listings and enquiry inbox in one dashboard;
- to review and approve new merchants, and to remove listings that break our rules;
- to keep the platform secure, spot abuse such as spam enquiries, and fix technical problems;
- to email you about your account — for example the confirmation link when you register, or a password reset.
We do not use your enquiry text or company details to train third-party models, and we do not build advertising profiles from them.
Who sees your information
Visibility is built into the site, not left to chance:
- Approved company profiles and active products are public pages. Anyone can see your company name, city, description, contact details you chose to publish, and your listings.
- A buyer’s name, phone, email, city, quantity and message are visible only to the merchant that enquiry was sent to, and to our admin team for moderation.
- Company profiles still awaiting approval, and listings a merchant or admin has switched off, are hidden from buyers.
- Our admin team can view merchant and enquiry records to approve suppliers, moderate content and support users.
- Trusted service providers who host our servers, store our database and photos, and deliver account emails act on our instructions only and may not use your information for their own purposes.
When you send an enquiry, you are also choosing to share it with that merchant. What they do with it after replying is between you and them — ask them before sharing anything sensitive.
Product photos
Photos you upload are stored in a private location where only your own account can read them. Buyers see them through a time-limited link the site generates for the listing, rather than through an open folder anyone can browse. Deleting a product removes its photos.
Signing in with Google
If you use “Continue with Google”, Google runs the sign-in and sends us your name, email address and profile photo. We store those to create and recognise your account. Google’s own privacy policy (privacy.google.com) covers what Google does with your information during that step, and you can withdraw our access from your Google account at any time.
Where your data lives
Records are kept on secure cloud infrastructure arranged by us for this platform. Some providers may process data outside India, so we choose providers that offer contractual and technical protection for the information they hold on our behalf.
Your choices
Anyone can ask us to:
- tell them what we hold about them;
- correct something wrong — a merchant can edit most profile and listing details directly in the dashboard;
- delete their account, listings, photos and the enquiries attached to them;
- stop a buyer enquiry being kept, if the merchant no longer needs it.
Deleting your merchant account removes your profile, products and photos. Enquiries a buyer sent you stay with that buyer’s record of the conversation, and information we must keep by law — such as records tied to a complaint — is kept only for as long as that obligation runs. Sample listings and demo suppliers, if any are present on the site, are marked as test data and are removed before the marketplace goes live.
To make a request, email support@bulkaura.org. If you write from the email address on the account, we can usually act within 30 days; we may ask you to confirm the request first.
How we protect data
Access is limited by design: each merchant’s enquiry inbox and photo folder is reachable only by their own account, passwords are stored in encrypted form, and connections to the site are encrypted in transit. No method of storage is perfectly safe, so we also keep what we collect to the minimum this service needs, and tell you straight away if a breach ever puts your information at risk.
Children
Bulk Aura is a business-to-business service for merchants and professional buyers, and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Tell us at the email below if you believe a child has given us information and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. For changes that affect how we use information we hold, we will also email affected account holders before the change takes effect.
Contact us
Questions, corrections or removal requests: email support@bulkaura.org. Tell us which account or enquiry your request is about, and we will confirm once it has been done.
